DEAN, TIKANGA PAKEHA 

Following the appointment of the Rev’d Dr Helen Ann Hartley as the next Bishop of Waikato within the Diocese of Waikato and Taranaki, applications are sought for the appointment of a new Dean, Tikanga Pakeha, at the College of St John the Evangelist. The successful applicant will ideally take up their role in mid-January 2014.

The role of Dean of Tikanga Pakeha is a permanent appointment to support the mission of the three Tikanga Church at St John’s College by providing quality bicultural theological education, ministry formation, spiritual development and personal growth for the Tikanga Pakeha students.

The Dean would be expected to have a clear understanding and involvement in issues relating to the three tikanga church within this Province, have well-developed, creative teaching skills, an awareness of ministry needs in a complex, post-Christendom environment and both the pastoral and administrative attributes relating to such a role. The person should ideally be an ordained minister in the Anglican Church. The Dean is directly responsible to the Principal/Manukura of the College.
