The New Zealand Bible Society launched Te Kawenata Hou, a reformatted New Testament in Maori and English, at Poroporo Marae, Whakatane, on 17 December.
Te Kawenata Hou is a completely reformatted version of the 1952 Maori Bible text. New features include macrons, speech marks, paragraphing, section headings and book introductions. The project has taken many years.
The ceremony concluded with lunch on the marae.
Te Kawenata Hou retails at $16.99.
