SJCTB takes over Te Aute trusteeship

Here's the text of the resolution Te Runanganui passed welcoming the St John's College Trust Board taking over the trusteeship of Te Aute and Hukarere.

Te Aute resolution

 Motion number 5, 

That this Te Runanganui expresses its gratitude to the St John’s College Trust Board for its support to the Te Aute Trust Board

1. Thanks the Chairman and the Secretary for attending Te Runanganui and addressing us today;

2. Receives the report and endorses the vision and intent of the St John’s College Trust Board to accept the position of Trustee of Te Aute Trust Board;

3. And provide a comprehensive report after three years, considering whether a further term of appointment is required;

4. To prepare a report or a strategic plan for the development of the schools, hostels and Te Aute Trust Board;

5. The St John’s College Trust Board undertakes to report to wider community of stakeholders of the Te Aute Trust Board, schools and hostels;

6. The St John’s College Trust Board to consider how best to include the interests of Ngati Whatu i Apiti within the governance of the Te Aute Trust Board, schools and hostels;

7. The Te Runanganui supports the St John’s College Trust Board having the flexibility to appoint advisory trustees in respect to its role as trustee of the Te Aute Trust Board;

8. That Te Runanganui supports and advocates these resolutions to General Synod Standing Committee and Te Kotahitanga.
