The Anglican Trust for Women and Children in Auckland has appointed a new chief executive officer who will take up his role from January 16.

The new CEO, Philip Beilby, has held senior roles in health management and education including being the national education and communications manager for the Health and Disability Commissioner and the northern regional manager for Pathways Trust.

For the past seven years Mr Beilby has been Chief Executive Officer of Vaka Tautua, the first national Pacific NGO in New Zealand which provides disability, mental health, older people’s, public health and support services for Pacific peoples.

Mr Beilby is a registered nurse with masters and post-graduate qualifications in health, education and management

The 154-year-old Anglican Trust for Women and Children is based in South Auckland and is one of Auckland’s oldest charities.

ATWC’s integrated Family, Early Education and Social Work services and programmes help to protect, nurture and provide opportunities for up to 3000 children, young people and their families across Auckland.

The charity aims to reconnect families/whanau and empower then to take control of their decision making so they can face the future with hope.
