The Creed for contemporary Kiwis

Bishop John Bluck's booklet on the Nicene Creed for contemporary Kiwis is into its second print run, after an unexpected rush of orders.

Easy to read but ambitious in its scope, this full-colour booklet is for people curious about Christianity but cautious about believing all its claims.

Using the classic phrases of the traditional Creed, Bishop Bluck recasts them in language spoken by contemporary New Zealanders, well laced with story and poetry.

The old themes take on new life – heaven and earth, the visible and invisible world, God, Christ and the Holy Spirit and the life we live now and eternally. If you're interested in finding faith here and now, for the first time or over again, this booklet offers something very old in a new way.

The price of the reprint has risen to $6.50, plus $1.50 post and packaging. For more information or to place an order, contact the Editor, Brian Thomas, bjthomas@orcon.net.nz

Bishop Bluck, newly retired from the Diocese of Waiapu, has enjoyed a ministry as a writer, columnist, broadcaster and communicator in Presbyterian, Methodist and Roman Catholic traditions and with the World Council of Churches.

Credible Christianity has been published jointly by Anglican Taonga and the diocese of Waiapu.
